Thérapeau - Premium barrier-repair skincare - Concept Project

  • Thérapeau is a concept brand for premium barrier-repair skincare: a three-step routine for people whose skin has been pushed too far. The project covers brand strategy, verbal identity, logo, packaging and art direction.

  • The brief asked for skincare that feels dermatological, potent, advanced and refined. Barrier care, however, is no longer a niche: mass brands now use the same words and the same three-step routine. The challenge was to stand out through method and experience rather than claims, and to make “potent” and “gentle” live in one system without either cancelling the other out.

  • The work started from one insight: “I damaged my skin trying to fix it.” Thérapeau’s audience doesn’t need one more strong product. They need a measured system.

For people whose skin has been pushed too far, Thérapeau is a barrier-repair routine that restores in measured layers. Precise enough to trust. Calm enough to use every day.

Three principles guide every decision: Precision (each step has one role and one dose), Restraint (nothing the skin has to recover from) and Ritual (01 Cleanse, 02 Treat, 03 Seal, morning and evening).

  • The accent above the é is straightened into a measuring mark. The wordmark becomes a tool: on each box, the logo runs vertically along a scale, and its mark rises with the weight of the layer, from cleanser to cream. On its own, the é works as a symbol for the lid, the profile picture and the favicon.

  • A palette taken from skin and its layers. Bone and Frost build calm, light grounds. Skin is the product itself, seen through the frosted box. Ink Blue carries structure: logo, numbers, text. Clay is used for one thing only, the measuring mark. Blue for structure, clay for signal.

  • Instrument Sans for the wordmark, step numbers and names: clean and confident, without feeling clinical. IBM Plex Mono for descriptors, dosage and details: it carries the precision of a lab label. Both are open-source typefaces (SIL Open Font License).

  • A complete concept identity: strategy, naming, tone of voice, logo system, three-step packaging with dielines, and a set of mockups. One bottle, one box, three steps. Two inks. A system that reads without words.

Concept project. Not a real product.
